Filip Hrgović wants revenge on WBO champion Daniel Dubois. First, though, the Croatian must defend his IBF title against mandatory challenger Frank Sánchez.

"I think that I will destroy him in the next fight," Filip Hrgović told Pro Boxing Fans about Daniel Dubois, according to Boxing News. "I will stop him, definitely." After his win over Moses Itauma, he said, a fight with Dubois would be "like slow-motion". Dubois stopped Hrgović in 2024; the Croatian blames, among other things, head-butts by his opponent.
No rematch has been agreed. Hrgović, IBF champion since beating Itauma in August, must first face mandatory challenger Frank Sánchez. Sánchez's manager Mike Borao expects the fight in the first quarter of 2027, possibly in Zagreb, Sky Sports reports.
Dubois, who defended his WBO title by beating Fabio Wardley inside two rounds in October, told Sky Sports he wants to collect "all the other belts". Besides Hrgović he has named WBC champion Agit Kabayel as a possible opponent.
