Saúl "Canelo" Álvarez has finished his training camp in Spain and says he is ready for Christian Mbilli. "I feel great. I don't know how he feels, and I don't really care how he feels," the Mexican said in quotes released by Riyadh Season and DAZN. "I'm just glad to go face a champion, and I'm ready for that."
On his loss to Terence Crawford, Álvarez said: "I did a good job of preparing for that fight, but throughout fight week my mind wasn't there." Pressure does not bother him: "I feel like I work even better when I have pressure on me." Heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk joined him for two or three days of training: "His mentality is everything."
The fight for Mbilli's WBC super-middleweight title takes place in Riyadh on October 31, live on DAZN pay-per-view. According to Boxing Insider, the fighters' grand arrivals are set for Tuesday, although the fight remains subject to the security situation in Saudi Arabia. DAZN has also released a preview of Álvarez's return.
