Prada has taken part in a world record with its Linea Rossa sports line: two-time downhill skateboard world champion Diego Poncelet reached 151.83 kilometres per hour on a closed section of Route des Éboulements in Québec, Canada – according to Red Bull and Prada the fastest speed ever recorded on a skateboard. Red Bull released its film of the record on October 15, Prada its own on October 16.

Prada Linea Rossa says it developed bespoke footwear and gloves together with the athlete, combining high-performance materials with protection, comfort and grip. The project is described as a new chapter in the partnership between Linea Rossa and Red Bull. According to Red Bull, the road is about 2.2 kilometres long, with a maximum gradient of 18 percent and a 600-metre steep straight; a tailwind of 10 to 14 km/h was blowing during the record run.

Besides Prada, Red Bull names Porsche and Meta as partners in the project. Poncelet wore an aero suit by Jonathan & Fletcher and a custom helmet and board fairing by Siegrist and Skippings. The Prada film shows the record run and the collaboration with the rider.
