King Charles III and Queen Camilla hosted a state banquet for the Sultan of Oman in St George's Hall at Windsor Castle on 20 October. Catherine, Princess of Wales, was seated to the guest's right. She wore a yellow Elie Saab gown in draped silk with a braided neckline collar, cape-effect sleeves, a ruched waistband and a pleated skirt. According to Marie Claire, a subtle animal print is visible in the fabric on closer inspection; the magazine speculated about a nod to the Arabian leopard, which lives in Oman, but conceded that this remains an open question.

On her head was Queen Mary's Lover's Knot Tiara, made by Garrard in 1914: 19 diamond lover's knot arches with bows and 38 drop-shaped cultured pearls. Princess Diana wore the tiara frequently. The princess paired it with the Greville Chandelier Earrings, made by Cartier in London between 1918 and 1929, a diamond bracelet that belonged to Queen Mary, the sash and badge of the Royal Victorian Order and the Royal Family Order of King Charles III.

The other royal women also wore tiaras: Queen Camilla chose a deep blue Fiona Clare gown and the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara, along with the sash and star of the Order of Oman she had received that morning. Princess Anne wore gold with the Meander Bandeau Tiara, and the Duchess of Gloucester the Honeysuckle Tiara with a pink topaz. The Sultan, who does not drink alcohol, raised his toasts with a soft drink. The Royal Family's video shows King Charles's speech at the banquet.
