MCM, Adidas and FC Bayern: a Munich capsule for the label's 50th birthday
Munich leather goods brand MCM marks its anniversary with Adidas and FC Bayern's women's team. Bags and tracksuits go on sale on 22 October.

MCM, founded in Munich in 1976, is releasing a capsule collection with Adidas and FC Bayern to mark its 50th anniversary. It goes on sale worldwide on 22 October, following a launch event in Munich on 20 October. The centrepieces are the Ottomar Weekender travel bag and the Stark Backpack in MCM's cognac Visetos monogram, with the club crest and cream leather details.
Adidas reworks its tracksuit with MCM motifs and the three stripes, offering unisex and women's jerseys, track jackets, wide-leg track pants and joggers. The campaign was shot in Tokyo, the first stop of the FC Bayern women's team summer tour. MCM has been the team's official travel luggage partner since July. The collection is available at FC Bayern World in Munich, Adidas stores in Europe, Japan and Korea, MCM stores and online.
MCM has been owned by entrepreneur Sung-Joo Kim since 2005 and says it operates 584 stores in 43 countries. According to Sneakerjagers, the capsule is also set to include a footwear model that had not yet been revealed.
