A few days before the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on Sunday, October 18, Hola! USA profiled the models with Latin American roots. They include Brazilian Adriana Lima, born in Salvador, Bahia; Puerto Rican Joan Smalls, born in Hatillo; half-Cuban Devyn Garcia, who grew up in Miami; Paloma Elsesser, of Chilean-Swiss descent; and Brazilian Gabriela Moura from Niterói. According to Hola!, 19 models will walk in total.

Joan Smalls is quoted as saying: “I am a proud Afro-Latina because my culture, my family, and everything around me shaped me into the woman I am today.” Devyn Garcia said she prefers images that show “the person rather than the mannequin”. Gabriela Moura greeted her home country with “Vai Brasil”. According to Daily Front Row, the confirmed cast also includes Candice Swanepoel, Gigi Hadid, Anok Yai and Elsa Hosk, who returns after eight years.

The show starts at 7.30 p.m. ET at an undisclosed location in Los Angeles and will be streamed free on the brand's YouTube channel. Katseye, Megan Moroney, Megan Thee Stallion and Tate McRae will perform. The announcement video for Devyn Garcia can be seen on Victoria's Secret's official YouTube channel.
