Deniz Undav has ended his goal drought. The VfB Stuttgart striker opened the scoring in the 29th minute of Wednesday night's 3-0 win at Slovan Bratislava, set up by Angelo Stiller; his deflected shot was too much for goalkeeper Dominik Takáč. According to t-online, it was Undav's first goal in his eighth competitive game of the season.

After the break Stuttgart doubled their lead through an own goal by Sandro Cruz, and substitute Ermedin Demirović headed in the third in the final minute. Germany international Chris Führich also played but, like his team-mates, missed several good chances. According to t-online, Maximilian Mittelstädt was absent with a cut to his heel sustained in the game at Paderborn.

It was Stuttgart's second win in their second league-phase game; with six points, Sebastian Hoeneß's side sit fourth. For Undav, the goal comes a month before Germany's last two Nations League games, in Serbia (13 November) and against the Netherlands (16 November).
