Taipei Fashion Week has a new home: from 15 to 18 October designers are showing their spring/summer 2027 collections at Kong Zong Cultural Base, the restored former headquarters of the Taiwanese air force in central Taipei. After eight years at Songshan Creative Park, it is the first fashion event held in the roughly 80-year-old halls, according to FashionUnited. The runway sits on the forecourt in front of the historic facade, with two presentation stages on the upper floor.
Thirteen designers were selected, among them Daniel Wong, Infdark, Inmories and Gioia Pan for the runway, while Jenn Lee shows at a separate venue. Runway applicants had to show a complete collection of at least 30 looks, their own production and a sales market. A trade fair on the ground floor features more than 50 brands, up from 36 last season.
The event is organised by Taiwan's Ministry of Culture and run by the Taiwan Design Research Institute. The March edition drew 26,516 visitors and more than 50 buyers from ten countries, including from Isetan, Takashimaya and Printemps, according to FashionUnited.
