Jon Jones has sided with the challenger ahead of the heavyweight title fight at UFC 334. "So my prediction is that I believe Hokit very well could win," the former UFC champion said in an interview with The Schmo, according to MMA Sucka. Ciryl Gane defends his title against Josh Hokit at New York's Madison Square Garden on November 14. Jones beat Gane with a first-round guillotine at UFC 285 in 2023 to become heavyweight champion.
According to MMA Sucka, Hokit is unbeaten in five UFC fights, with wins over Derrick Lewis and Curtis Blaydes among them. It is the 28-year-old's first title fight. Gane became undisputed champion after Tom Aspinall vacated the title; before that, he beat Alex Pereira by second-round TKO at UFC Freedom 250 in June.
In the UFC 334 co-main event, Kayla Harrison and Amanda Nunes fight for the women's bantamweight title.
