Juventus dropped more points in Serie A on Sunday, drawing 1-1 at Cagliari, who were fourth before the round. Daniel Maldini put the Sardinians ahead after a setup from Pape Mendy, and Randal Kolo Muani equalized with an 81st-minute header from Kerim Alajbegovic's cross. It was his first goal of the season; Germany forward Nick Woltemade came off the bench.
After the final whistle, Spalletti and Cagliari coach Fabio Pisacane clashed as they went to shake hands, and both were shown red cards. Spalletti played down the incident on DAZN, saying he had told Pisacane his team played good football but were also good at wasting time. Any suspensions have yet to be decided.
Juventus remain behind Cagliari in the standings and have won only one of their last four league games. Spalletti still praised the performance, saying that if his team always played like this, it would win many more games.
