The field is narrowing in "Angels Among Us", Victoria's Secret's casting competition. According to Rolling Out, eight contestants remain, among them Andreína Martínez Founier from the Dominican Republic, Kyani Mekōkualani Bateman from Hawaii, Cameroon-born, Maine-based Solange Omon and Tatyana Tinsley from New York. Brielle Reimann left in episode 3 and Kassandra Marie Crespo in episode 4.
Victoria's Secret released the fifth episode of the docuseries on its YouTube channel on Sunday, 11 October. In it the finalists work with French stylist Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, go through official fittings and compete to become her "muse". In early October ten finalists still appeared together in a beauty campaign for the brand, photographed by Carlijn Jacobs.
Dominican media are following Andreína Martínez closely, a former Miss Dominican Republic and second runner-up at Miss Universe 2022. She walked in the brand's signature wings for the first time in the competition; according to El Seis, casting director Piergiorgio Del Moro praised her walk. "Mi audacia me trajo hasta aquí" ("My boldness brought me here"), she wrote on social media. The winner will be announced live at the show on 18 October, will walk in it and will receive a contract with IMG Models.
