Solange Omon won the title of new Angel, but the other two finalists of the YouTube casting series "Angels Among Us" also walked at the show in Los Angeles on 18 October: Andreína Martínez Fournier from the Dominican Republic and Tatyana Tinsley from New York. Victoria's Secret has now released a video about the two runners-up and their runway appearance.
Martínez wore a flesh-toned look and afterwards thanked designer Adam Selman. Responding to criticism from some compatriots unhappy with the result, she wrote: "I think you don't understand the magnitude – I walked in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show!" She said she loved sharing the runway with her "sister Tatyana Tinsley and Solange Omon".
Besides the wings, the winner received a contract with IMG Models. Mentors including Gigi Hadid, Paloma Elsesser and Ashley Graham guided the contestants through the season. For Martínez, missing out on the wings does not change the fact that a dream came true – she called on her supporters to celebrate the moment together.
