Serie A's sports judge on Monday banned Napoli coach Massimiliano Allegri for two matches and fined him 10,000 euros. Allegri was sent off in Saturday's 3-3 draw with Roma at the Stadio Maradona after protesting the visitors' late equalizer.
According to Adnkronos, the ruling said Allegri directed an insulting remark at the match officials in the 45th minute of the second half. Sky Sport reported that the judge also cited aggressive behavior toward an opposing club official in the dressing-room area.
Allegri will miss Wednesday's (Oct. 28) match against Monza (8:45 p.m. CET) and the Nov. 1 game at Juventus. Napoli are considering an appeal, according to Sky Sport. Lecce's Kialonda Gaspar also received a two-match ban after his red card in a 2-0 loss to Juventus.
