Single: Death: Right Before We Die
Italian symphonic metal band Temperance have released 'Arcani', a concept album on Napalm Records: each of its 13 songs is assigned to a card of the tarot's Major Arcana. Singles released ahead of the album included 'The Devil: Sin, Sin, Sin' and 'Death: Right Before We Die'.
METAL HAMMER critic Matthias Weckmann praises the single 'The Tower: Lean Into Fear' as punchy, Skid Row-style hard rock – 'the only shame is that this song stands all alone on ARCANI', he writes. The other songs 'far too often smother their melodies, which are certainly there, under their own bombast'. The execution often feels overloaded.
