Joanne Shaw Taylor's new album 'The Trouble With Love' came out on 23 October via Journeyman Records. It was produced by Kevin Shirley. Bonamassa guests on the title track and Orianthi on 'What Good Is My Love?'. Advance tracks included 'Hell Or High Water' and 'This Is Who I Am'.
Writing for Louder/Classic Rock, Rich Davenport finds Shaw Taylor 'pushing herself as both performer and writer'. He singles out 'Bad Boy': despite its well-worn title, it puts 'an inventive 21st-century twist on the blues'.
Davenport closes by praising a solo with 'the kind of blues feel you just can't fake'. His overall verdict is clearly positive.
