Desi Slava is returning to pop-folk: speaking to Desi Banova-Plevnelieva in the segment “Тук и сега”, the singer said she is preparing a new album of 13 new songs. According to Ruse.news, it would be her first solo pop-folk album since 2009. She has not yet given a title or release date.
She is also planning a big concert for December 15; the report does not name a venue. Most recently, Desi Slava released the folk album “България в душата ми” (“Bulgaria in My Soul”), dedicated to her grandparents and singer Valkana Stoyanova, and went on a folk tour.
She said it matters to her to sing songs that come “from the soul and heart” rather than from commercial calculation. One personal line from the interview: “At this age I no longer want to make mistakes.”
