Clap Your Hands Say Yeah are releasing their first album in more than six years. 'Burned' is out on 29 January 2027 on the band's own CYHSY label via Secretly Distribution. Alec Ounsworth, the only core member, spent last year marking the debut's 20th anniversary with a tour and a reissue. Stereogum calls lead single 'Fever Of The Mind' a big, sweeping piece of old-school indie rock.
A European tour follows in February 2027, with three dates in Switzerland and Germany: Zurich (Bogen F) on 9 February, Cologne (Gebäude 9) on 12 February and Berlin (Gretchen) on 13 February. Other stops include Lille, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Ghent, Paris, Dublin and London, with the run opening in Istanbul. A North American tour starts on 5 April and ends in Philadelphia on 15 May.
According to Spin, tickets went on sale on Friday 23 October.
