The organizers of Wacken Open Air will host the first Bloody X-Mas Market in Hamburg on Nov. 20-21, 2026. The market will be set up on the square between the blood donation center and the Heart and Vascular Center of the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) and will be open from noon to 9 p.m. on both days. Blood donations are possible from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is free, and people who cannot donate are welcome too.
Subway To Sally and HeavySaurus are confirmed so far, with more acts to be announced. Heaven Shall Burn singer Marcus Bischoff, patron of the Wacken blood donation initiative, will also take part. Proceeds go to Childhood-Haus Hamburg at the UKE, which supports children and young people who have experienced violence or neglect.
"Everyone who donates blood is a true everyday rock star!" Wacken co-founder Holger Hübner said, according to Metal Hammer. In previous years, WackenTV documented the Bloody X-Mas campaign at Berlin's Charité hospital. The next Wacken Open Air is scheduled for July 28-31, 2027.
