Lille are still waiting for their first Champions League point after a 4-2 home defeat to Galatasaray at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy. Yunus Akgün put the visitors ahead in the second minute before Soriba Diaoune turned the game around with goals in the seventh and 39th minutes. Just before halftime Galatasaray's Aleksey Batrakov headed in a Roland Sallai cross to make it 2-2.
The game turned after the break. The 3-2 goal in the 52nd minute was first credited to Lucas Torreira and later recorded as an own goal by Lille goalkeeper Berke Özer. Victor Osimhen made it 4-2 in the 61st minute against the club where he made his name. He did not celebrate, and Lille fans applauded him when he was substituted in the 84th minute.
Lille were without the suspended Ethan Mbappé. Galatasaray earned their first points of the league phase after losses to Sporting (3-1) and Barcelona (4-1).
