Real Betis won their third game of the Champions League league phase, beating Feyenoord 1-0 at the Estadio La Cartuja in Seville. Isco decided the match with a 59th-minute penalty awarded for handball. Betis had previously won 3-2 at Lille and 3-2 against Porto.

The margin stayed narrow largely because of Feyenoord's German goalkeeper Tjark Ernst, who made nine saves, six of them from shots inside the box, according to Sofascore. At the other end Betis goalkeeper Álvaro Valles was needed only twice.
