Several Germany internationals featured in the 2-2 draw between Bayern Munich and Arsenal on Wednesday evening. Kai Havertz started up front for the London side, was booked early and, according to SPOX's live ticker, was substituted in the 69th minute. “All in all the draw is a fair result,” he said, according to 90min. “We can be proud of ourselves for holding our own here.”
For Bayern, Tom Bischof played alongside Aleksandar Pavlović in midfield in place of the absent Joshua Kimmich. “When you take the lead, it's disappointing in the end not to get the three points,” Bischof said. According to SPOX, Serge Gnabry missed a clear chance against Arsenal keeper Raya in the 20th minute; Lennart Karl replaced him in the 69th minute, while Jonathan Tah had come on for Kim at half-time.
Eberechi Eze put Arsenal ahead before Alphonso Davies and a Harry Kane penalty turned the game around, until Declan Rice equalised in the 82nd minute. According to SPOX, goalkeeper Manuel Neuer made his 163rd Champions League appearance, equalling Thomas Müller's German record. Bayern have five points after three matchdays.
