Keanu Reeves is in negotiations to join the US remake of the Korean crime thriller 'The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil'. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news, as summarised by The Playlist; his casting has not yet been confirmed, and it is not known which role he would play.
James Wan ('Saw', 'The Conjuring') is set to direct – it would be his next film as director. The project is being made for Paramount. Don Lee (Ma Dong-seok) reprises his role from the original as mob boss Jang Dong-soo. The latest script is by Eric Pearson, based on earlier drafts by Shay Hatten and Brian Helgeland.
Producers include Wan, Jason Blum (Blumhouse Atomic Monster), Don Lee, and Sylvester Stallone through his company Balboa Productions.
