AC Milan took early control of their Europa League league-phase match at Red Bull Salzburg on Thursday thanks to Alphadjo Cisse. The forward scored in the 15th, 33rd and 49th minutes, with his third goal standing after a lengthy video review. Substitute Goncalo Ramos made it 4-0 in the 72nd minute for coach Ruben Amorim's side.
At 19 years and 358 days, Cisse is the youngest Italian player to score a hat trick in a major European competition, according to data provider Opta. Football Italia said it was also Milan's first hat trick in a competitive European match since Filippo Inzaghi's in a 4-0 win over Deportivo La Coruna in 2002.
Milan's Terracciano was shown a straight red card in the 83rd minute for denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity. It was a difficult night for Salzburg and coach Danny Roehl against the Italian giants.
