Celtic are already under pressure in the Europa League league phase as they visit Benfica on Thursday (1900 GMT) after a 3-1 home defeat by Ferencvaros in their opener. Benfica began with a 2-0 win away to AC Milan.

"It's a big match for us," manager Martin O'Neill said, according to the club, calling it "a really big test" and adding that the aim was to reach the knockout stages. Defender Cameron Carter-Vickers is out with a strain, Auston Trusty is fit, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is available again after a suspension.

Benfica coach Marco Silva confirmed Anatoliy Trubin would start in goal. "We got off to a good start, and we want to build on that," Silva said, according to the club, adding that his side had to prove "game after game" that they had big ambitions.
