Heidenheim travel to Wolfsburg with a depleted attack. Coach Frank Schmidt said forwards Maximilian Breunig and Sirlord Conteh are ruled out ("Maxi and Sissi are clear, they're not ready yet"), while Mikkel Kaufmann (muscle problem) and Budu Zivzivadze (knee) are doubtful, with decisions due shortly before kickoff. Right-back Marnon Busch is also out with an Achilles problem.
Saturday's game (1100 GMT) between the two sides relegated from the Bundesliga last season is a top-of-the-table clash in the second tier. Heidenheim are third on 14 points and unbeaten in five league games, while Wolfsburg are fifth on 12 after a 4-4 draw at Nuremberg last weekend.
Schmidt singled out former Heidenheim striker Robert Glatzel, who has scored four times for Wolfsburg this season, describing him as "incredibly good in the air". He also said Wolfsburg have spells "in which they let the opponent in", adding: "We have to be there."
