Meta bans ads from TikTok owner ByteDance on its apps

The owner of Facebook and Instagram no longer accepts ads from ByteDance in the US and a few other countries, a Meta spokesperson confirmed, according to Reuters.

Meta is barring advertising from Chinese group ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, from its platforms. According to a Meta spokesperson, this applies in the US and a few other countries. The spokesperson confirmed the move on Thursday, Reuters reported.
