Three fighters missed weight at Friday's official weigh-ins for UFC Vegas 122 in Las Vegas. The biggest miss came from Ismael Bonfim, who weighed 163.5 pounds (about 74.2 kg) for his lightweight bout with Francisco Prado – 7.5 pounds over the 156-pound limit. According to MMA Sucka, Bonfim must give 25 per cent of his purse to Prado. Uncrowned reported that it was already his third weight miss in the UFC.
Ketlen Souza (117 pounds), ahead of her strawweight bout with Loopy Godinez, and Brendson Ribeiro (208.5 pounds), ahead of his light heavyweight fight with Felipe Franco, were also heavy. According to Sherdog and MMA Sucka, both must give 20 per cent of their purses to their opponents. None of the reports said any of the three bouts had been cancelled.
The middleweight main event is set: Brendan Allen weighed exactly 186 pounds, the allowed limit, and Christian Leroy Duncan 185. Allen has won his last three UFC fights, Duncan his last five. The main card at the Meta Apex starts at 8 p.m. US Eastern time on Saturday (2 a.m. Sunday in Germany).
