Joshua Kimmich will also miss Bayern Munich's Bundesliga game at SC Freiburg on Sunday (17:30 CET), Sky Sport reports. According to SPORT1, the Germany captain did not take part in team training on Friday.

Bayern announced on Tuesday that Kimmich was absent due to a bereavement in his immediate family, which is why he also missed the 2-2 Champions League draw with Arsenal. The club said it stood behind the 31-year-old and left the timing of his return up to him.

As against Arsenal, internationals Aleksandar Pavlović and Tom Bischof are expected to start in midfield. Head coach Jürgen Klopp defended Kimmich against criticism this week. Germany's next matches are in Serbia on 13 November and against the Netherlands on 16 November.
