20th Century Studios is developing a new 'Alien' film. As The Hollywood Reporter reports, Aaron Guzikowski is writing the screenplay. He wrote 'Prisoners' and previously worked with Ridley Scott on the sci-fi series 'Raised by Wolves'. Scott is producing through his company Scott Free with Michael Pruss; no director is attached yet.
The story is set to follow Scott's own prequels 'Prometheus' (2012) and 'Alien: Covenant' (2017), with the android David as the connecting character. Michael Fassbender, who played David in both films, is not currently attached, according to THR. In August, Scott hinted to AlloCiné that he wanted to pick up where 'Covenant' left off.
The project is not the sequel to Fede Álvarez's 'Alien: Romulus', which the studio announced in 2024 and which remains in development.
