Some 6,590,000 people are eligible to vote in Bulgaria's presidential election on Sunday, Central Election Commission spokeswoman Stoyanka Balova said, citing the final voter lists. Of these, 46,001 turned 18 after the April election and will vote for the first time. Voters who find omissions or errors in the lists can file a request until 23 October. Four days remain until polling day.

Machine voting for president and vice-president will take place in 9,373 polling stations, 2,249 of which will have two machines each. In total, 11,620 machines will be used. Where local run-offs are held on the same day, voting will take place in two separate rooms with two separate polling committees. Ballots and paper rolls are already being delivered to regional administrations and will be kept under reinforced guard. For voters with visual impairments, the printing house Demax will produce 1,500 templates for tactile voting by 23 October. Election commissions and municipalities are to announce through the media which polling stations offer them.
