Dakota Ditcheva (16-0) has ruled out a fight with Liz Carmouche. “I don't need the Liz fight,” the Englishwoman told media including Cageside Press backstage at Wintrust Arena after PFL Chicago. “She just lost to Jena. It's not the fight to make anymore.” Carmouche had talked as if Ditcheva were running away from her: “I am not scared to fight Liz.”
Instead, a rematch with Jena Bishop is on the cards. Bishop won the first PFL women's flyweight title with a decision over Carmouche on Friday. Ditcheva knocked Bishop out in the first round in August 2024 and expects a similar outcome, but admitted: “She's definitely improved.” She hopes to return in “February, March next year”.
Bishop struck a defiant tone after her win: “Let's continue the revenge tour.” She called Carmouche's move to have her head shaved before the weigh-in “such performative nonsense”.
