Jacobe Smith is set to step into the co-main event of UFC Vegas 123 on October 31 on short notice. As MMA reporter Marcel Dorff reports, citing multiple sources, the unbeaten welterweight will face Randy Brown after Brown's original opponent Carlos Leal dropped out. According to Middle Easy, neither the UFC nor the fighters have officially confirmed the bout yet.
Smith (13-0) knocked out Bruce Whitehead 1:32 into the first round at UFC 332 in Salt Lake City only on October 3. He has finished all four of his UFC fights, having previously beaten Josiah Harrell, Niko Price and Preston Parsons, among others.
Brown (20-8) has lost his last two fights: by knockout to Gabriel Bonfim in November 2025 and by decision to Kevin Holland at UFC 327 in April 2026. Renato Moicano and Tom Nolan headline the card.
