The Pretty Reckless released a bonus version of their song 'About You' on 16 October – with Dave Grohl on drums, guitar and vocals and Pat Smear on guitar, both members of Foo Fighters. The original is taken from the fifth album 'Dear God', released on Fearless Records on 26 June. The new version comes with an official music video.
'About You is one of my favorite songs on the record, so I wanted to do something special,' said singer Taylor Momsen. According to Consequence, she sings the verses, Grohl joins in on the chorus and the two trade lines in the bridge. Visions describes the new version as almost 40 seconds shorter and noticeably heavier than the original.
The band previously spent almost three years supporting AC/DC on their 'Power Up' tour; when The Pretty Reckless could not play two shows, Foo Fighters stepped in, according to Consequence. The European leg of the 'Dear God' tour starts in November: in Germany the band plays Berlin (Huxleys Neue Welt) on 18 November and Cologne (Carlswerk Victoria) on 21 November.
