Two 15-year-olds fled a police check on e-scooters in Berlin's Biesdorf neighborhood, police said. A patrol noticed them because they were riding at particularly high speed. One got away; the other allegedly tried several times to cut off the pursuing patrol car. Officers stopped him and provisionally detained him.

Officers later found the second teen at his home. There, his 45-year-old father allegedly attacked them. Officers used irritant spray on him, police said.

Investigators are looking into offenses including dangerous interference with road traffic and assault on law enforcement officers. All those involved are presumed innocent.
