Yemen's Houthi militia fired missiles at the al-Maashiq presidential palace in Aden, the seat of the Saudi-backed, internationally recognised government. Yemen's health minister said five people were killed and 16 wounded. Information Minister Moammar al-Eryani said the prime minister and cabinet members were safe. According to Reuters, it was the first attack on the palace in the current conflict between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said they had struck the "Saudi military operations headquarters" in Aden, a claim that could not be independently verified.
On Friday night, police said two missiles also hit Aden airport, with no casualties reported. The Saudi-led coalition said it intercepted a ballistic missile, two cruise missiles and three drones, CBS News reported. According to the coalition, the Houthis attacked Riyadh's airport 20 times this month alone, killing 17 people, Reuters reported. Iran's foreign ministry rejected Saudi claims of involvement and offered to mediate.
