Union Berlin coach Mauro Lustrinelli played down Borussia Dortmund's 1-0 Champions League defeat at Bodø/Glimt ahead of Saturday's meeting. "Everyone knows how strong they are, regardless of what they did in the last game," the Swiss coach said on Thursday. Dortmund are unbeaten in the Bundesliga and second in the table. Union host them at 15:30 CEST on Saturday.
Union are 16th with four points after five matches and earned their first win of the season last weekend, 1-0 against promoted Elversberg. "We want to control our own performance, and then we hope Borussia don't play such a good game," Lustrinelli said. Union have won four of seven home games against Dortmund since their promotion in 2019, but lost 3-0 at home last season.
Also at 15:30 CEST on Saturday, Mainz visit Schalke. Mainz have conceded ten goals in their last three league games while scoring eight. "That's all too negative for me," coach Urs Fischer said, adding the team had reviewed the situations and must try to do better at Schalke.
