Whether GTA 6 will also come to Nintendo Switch 2 remains unclear. "That's going to be a conversation for Take-Two and Rockstar, but nothing to announce on my end at this time," Devon Pritchard, president of Nintendo of America, told US trade publication Variety. Pritchard has led Nintendo's Americas business since the start of 2026, succeeding Doug Bowser.
GTA 6 launches on 19 November for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a PC version to follow later. No Switch 2 version has been announced, and Rockstar has not commented. Industry insiders previously claimed that Rockstar had tested whether a port was feasible – this has not been confirmed.
Former Rockstar designer Jérémy Hartvick said on a podcast that he doubted the Switch audience was a good fit for GTA 6. Take-Two, however, already supports the console with games such as Civilization VII and a Switch 2 version of Red Dead Redemption.
