Nkunku hat-trick as Leipzig thrash Frankfurt 6-0 in Bundesliga

RB Leipzig routed Eintracht Frankfurt 6-0 in Saturday's late Bundesliga game. Christopher Nkunku scored three times in 39 minutes as Leipzig led 4-0 at half-time and sit fifth.

RB Leipzig beat Eintracht Frankfurt 6-0 in the Saturday evening game of the fifth Bundesliga round, leading 4-0 at the break. Ezechiel Banzuzi scored in the first minute in front of 47,800 fans before Christopher Nkunku struck in the fifth, 41st and 44th minutes for a perfect hat-trick, a first for a Leipzig player in the Bundesliga, according to dpa and t-online.

Antonio Nusa added a fifth in the 54th minute and substitute Tidiam Gomis completed the rout in the 89th. Martin Demichelis's side, now fifth, have won all three of their Bundesliga home games this season. Leipzig face PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Frankfurt, coached by Adi Hutter, suffered their first Bundesliga away defeat of the season. They remain 13th and have conceded 16 goals in five matches. Sunday's fixtures include the Rhine derby between Cologne and Borussia Moenchengladbach.
