Chelsea beat Bournemouth 5-1 at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Saturday. Jordan Henderson opened the scoring in the second minute from Cole Palmer's pass, and moments later a Morgan Rogers shot deflected in off Antonio Silva. Chelsea were 2-0 up after two minutes and 29 seconds, the earliest they have led by two goals in a Premier League game, according to Sky Sports.

Joao Pedro made it 3-0 straight after half-time before Evanilson pulled one back in the 51st minute for the still winless visitors. Joao Pedro struck again in the 67th minute and Henderson curled in a free kick from around 25 yards three minutes later. Palmer, who extended his contract until 2034 earlier in the day, won the free kick. Chelsea are provisionally fifth.

"I've been working on it in training for the last week or two," Henderson told the BBC of his free kick. Manager Xabi Alonso welcomed Palmer's new deal: "He is a top player. We have him for many years."
