Michael Kiwanuka: video for 'Summer Clothes'

'Summer Clothes' led the way to Michael Kiwanuka's fifth album 'FUDGE'. The video takes viewers into the world of Southampton's tailors.

'Summer Clothes' is the first song from Michael Kiwanuka's fifth album 'FUDGE', released on 23 October. The album was broadly self-produced at a studio near his Southampton home; the track borrows words from the late jazz pianist Chick Corea.

The clip was directed by Yout. It draws on the work of local tailors in Southampton: it opens on a sewing needle and follows a young boy in a suit with his family. The video is the official music video for 'Summer Clothes'.
