"Not filler, just lip liner": Katseye's Yoonchae shows her make-up routine for Vogue
The 18-year-old deliberately draws her lip line past the edge – and explains why friends in Korea now call her look "American-style".

Yoonchae, a member of girl group Katseye, shows her make-up routine in a video from Vogue's "Beauty Secrets" series published at the end of September. According to the newspaper Sports Kyunghyang, it was released on 30 September. In it, the 18-year-old addresses rumours that she had lip fillers. "This is not a lip filler; it is just lip liner," she says, drawing the outline beyond her natural lip line.
Yoonchae says she only learned the technique after the group's debut and urged viewers to try it themselves. In Korea she used no eyeliner, only eyeshadow, shading and a touch of blush. Since moving to the US she has added eyeliner and mascara, and her make-up has "changed a lot". When she returned to Korea, friends told her she does "American-style makeup".
Katseye debuted in June 2024. Yoonchae now also works as a solo campaign face: at the end of September her first solo fashion collaboration was announced, with the brand Aritzia and its Super Puff down jacket line.
