Ministry founder Al Jourgensen has reaffirmed the end of his band. "I just think that Ministry has run its course," he told Hit Parader magazine, as MusicRadar reported on 19 October. He never really wanted to be a musician, he said: "I just wanted to be a history professor for high school and college." He describes the final album as "a culmination of 40 years of the same elements".

That farewell album, 'Hate To Go (Take Out Or Delivery)', is released on Cleopatra Records on 30 October. The band previewed it with the singles 'Burned Out' and 'We Hate'; the video for 'We Hate' was directed by former Revolting Cocks member Joshua Bradford. When the album was announced in July, Jourgensen said: "I'm completely at peace with the fact that it's done."

The 'Hate to Go – Goodbye Europe' farewell tour also visits German-speaking countries in April 2027: Saarbrücken (Garage) on 3 April, Lausanne (Docks) on 17 April, Munich on 18 April, Vienna (Gasometer) on 19 April, Berlin (Columbiahalle) on 24 April and Hamburg (Große Freiheit 36) on 25 April. Die Krupps join as special guests.
