Promoted Elversberg beat Augsburg 4-3 (3-1 at halftime) in a chaotic Bundesliga matchday six game on Saturday. Lukas Petkov scored in the fourth minute from the rebound after Finn Dahmen saved his handball penalty. Lasse Günther (7th) and Maximilian Rohr (28th) made it 3-0 before Fabian Rieder pulled one back from the spot nine minutes into first-half stoppage time.

Michael Gregoritsch converted another penalty in the 76th minute to make it 3-2. Raif Adam had a goal ruled out for offside, and a third penalty for Augsburg was overturned after a video review. Frederik Schmahl settled it in the 89th minute, Mert Kömür's goal came too late, and Noel Futkeu hit the crossbar with a stoppage-time penalty. Elversberg moved above Augsburg with their third win of the season; Augsburg are winless in four.

Borussia Dortmund were held to a 0-0 draw at Union Berlin. Maximilian Beier shot just wide of the post in the 56th minute and Serhou Guirassy was denied late on by Union goalkeeper Frederik Rønnow.
