Berlin police are using surveillance camera images to search for two men who allegedly attacked a 30-year-old man at Alt-Mariendorf U-Bahn station. According to police, the incident happened some time ago: on 30 August 2025 at around 11 pm on the platform of the U6 line. Police published the appeal on Friday after the investigation had so far failed to identify the suspects.

According to police, the two unknown men approached the man because of his colourful clothing and insulted him with homophobic remarks. They then allegedly pushed and hit him, brought him to the ground and kicked him as he lay there. The 30-year-old suffered bruises and contusions to his upper body and limbs, police said. A woman and a man who tried to intervene were also hit and kicked and were injured.

Detectives from Police Directorate 4 (South) are asking anyone who recognises the men pictured or knows where they are to come forward. Tips can be given by phone, by email, via the Berlin police online station or at any police station. The presumption of innocence applies to those being sought.
