In Berlin’s Rosenthal district, a 4-year-old girl was struck and injured by a car. In Staaken (Spandau), at around 12:55 p.m. on Friday, the side mirror of a truck struck a 23-year-old pedestrian in the face as she was crossing Heerstrasse at a traffic light. She was admitted to a hospital with a suspected facial fracture and traumatic brain injury. A customs patrol that happened to be passing by gave first aid. Investigators are looking into, among other things, which traffic light phase applied to those involved.

Also on Friday, at around 5:15 p.m. in Pankow, a 25-year-old woman was hit by a car on Berliner Strasse after crossing the road from a tram stop; a bus driver had previously avoided a collision with her by making an emergency stop.
