Frosinone beat Sassuolo 4-2 on Friday to open the seventh round of Serie A, with striker Antonio Raimondo scoring a hat trick. Raimondo struck in the 27th, 30th and 57th minutes. Calò gave the hosts an early lead in the ninth minute after an error by Bakola, while Domenico Berardi (15th) and Kristian Thorstvedt (37th) scored for Sassuolo.
Five goals came in a chaotic first half, and another Sassuolo goal, by Kvernadze, was disallowed. Raimondo settled the game with his third goal after the break. Sassuolo are still looking for their first away win of the season.
The fourth win of the season gave Frosinone 13 points and provisional fourth place, three points behind leaders Inter and Lazio. Raimondo told Sky it was the first hat trick of his professional career and credited his coach: "Il mio miglioramento fin qui è merito del mister" (My improvement so far is down to the coach).
