Germany's Federal Association of Private Social Service Providers (bpa) on Monday sharply criticised the government's planned long-term care reform, saying it could deal a massive blow to care services and the people who depend on them.
Association president Bernd Meurer expects large-scale layoffs in the sector. "More than 50,000 employees will be given notice," he told Bild.
