Belgian watch brand Ressence unveiled the Type 10 DN on 16 October and showed it publicly for the first time at the WatchTime New York fair at Gotham Hall in Manhattan. According to Hypebeast, DN stands for "Dark Night". It is the first oil-filled Ressence powered by its own movement: the automatic RW-04 calibre, an evolution of the RW-01 from the Type 11. According to Monochrome Watches, it was designed by Ressence and produced by Concepto. Development took four years and began with sketches by founder Benoît Mintiens.

There are no conventional hands. Rotating discs in the patented ROCS 10 module show hours, minutes and a second time zone; they sit in a chamber holding around 2.95 millilitres of silicone oil. Movement and oil chamber are separate and linked by magnets through a 0.1-millimetre titanium membrane. An indicator shows whether the oil is within its operating temperature range, and a 120-second runner doubles as a shock absorber. The watch has 538 components in total, and twin barrels provide a 60-hour power reserve.

The 41.5-millimetre titanium case has a dark blue DLC coating, with the dial and integrated rubber strap in the same tone; the watch weighs 82 grams. According to WatchTime, the case's flowing contours continue into the integrated rubber strap, while domed sapphire crystals front and back reinforce the rounded profile. The edition is limited to 100 pieces, with sales through the brand due to begin in November.
