Liverpool won 2-1 at Brentford on Saturday in the Premier League. Keane Lewis-Potter headed the hosts in front in the 44th minute from an Igor Thiago cross. In first-half stoppage time, Brentford's Yehor Yarmoliuk was shown a straight red card after a VAR review for a headbutting action on Jeremy Jacquet.

With an extra man, Liverpool turned the game around: Victor Munoz equalized in the 62nd minute from a Florian Wirtz pass, and Alexander Isak scored the winner in the 70th. Brentford's Vitaly Janelt was also sent off for a second yellow card in stoppage time. Earlier, referee John Brooks overturned a penalty he had awarded to Liverpool after a review.

It was Brentford's first defeat of the season, and Liverpool moved above the Londoners into fifth place, according to Sky Sports. Dominik Szoboszlai was substituted after about half an hour, and halftime substitute Jeremie Frimpong was taken off minutes after the restart. There was no official word on their condition.
