SOFIX rises 3.55% to 1,676.74 points – Eurohold leads again
The Sofia bourse's main index rose for a fifth day in a row. Eurohold Bulgaria gained 13.69% to €1.91. Turnover fell to €2.84 million. Petrol rose to €0.260.
The Bulgarian Stock Exchange rose for a fifth session in a row. The main index SOFIX closed on Thursday, 22 October, at 1,676.74 points – up 57.55 points or 3.55%. BGBX40 rose 2.50% to 264.27 points and BGTR30 1.06% to 1,195.87. BGREIT (the index of real estate companies) added 0.16% to 245.18 points. The data come from infostock.bg.
Eurohold Bulgaria was the driver again. The stock rose 13.69%, from €1.68 to €1.91, on turnover of €143,994. The holding's warrants (EUBGW) jumped 69.23%. A warrant is the right to buy new shares later at a fixed price. Synergon Holding (+8.16%), Chimimport (+7.14% to €0.675) and First Investment Bank (+3.52% to €4.70) also gained.
Total turnover was €2.84 million in 682 trades, down from €7.66 million on Wednesday. Among the most liquid stocks, Republika Holding had the highest turnover at €494,000; the stock fell 2.06% to €1.90. Next came Chimimport (€246,147) and Eurohold. Sopharma Trading lost 3.43% to €3.38.
Among energy stocks, Petrol rose 2.36% to €0.260 on trades worth €576. Synergon Holding, which owns 73.42% of Toplivo, climbed to €0.53. Toplivo has had no trade since 28 September (€4.20), and the Bobov Dol coal power plant none since 23 September (€15.00).
